Much of my website is sort of a personal but public wiki. I use this page to keep track of what I have bought. If I have it on vinyl or CD, I also have it digitally. I regret buying music digitally and have not done so for a couple of years. I don't really add (legally obtained) free digital downloads to this list.

I seem to be missing quite a few Bright Eyes albums for some reason. 😅
Listening
- Amplifiers
- Topping G5 - Headphone amp with USB, Bluetooth and Aux inputs. Works great, can drive my AKG 702s perfectly.
- Leak Stereo 20 - The story behind why I have this and how I restored it is documented here.
- Custom Pre-Amp - I built a 12AX7 based pre-amplifier for the leak so I can use it with my turntable. You can see this build here.
- NAD C 338 "hybrid" integrated amplifier. Overall a nice amp. It sounds a bit cleaner than the Sony TA mentioned below, which it replaced. Has an interesting Telnet interface. Main disadvantage is that Bluetooth has no authenticated pairing, nor is there a way to disable it.
- Sony TA-something integrated amplifier. An uncle gave me this more than 10 years ago. It's okay, there are some dry connections on the inputs which need re-soldering. I will probably buy something new eventually.
- Rega Planar 2 belonged to my Dad but I take care of it now. It's a stylish piece. I recently replaced my older cartridge (AT95A) with a Rega Bias 2.
- Headphones
- Austrian Audio Hi-X60 closed back headphones bought in September 2024. Very (very) comfortable, sound good.
- AKG K702 open back headphones which I am using when I am at home. They have an impedance of 62ohm, and things like laptops and phones struggle to drive them. However, when properly powered give a great sound.
- Sennheiser HD 300 Pro bought in Feb 2019. First impressions are very positive. Generally a very similar design to the 280s, the straight cable is a nice bonus. Sound is very slightly different, not quite figured out how yet.
- Sennheiser HD 280 Pro closed headphones which I use mostly in work. Bought in April 2013 and still in excellent condition.
- Speakers
- Alesis MK2 Monitors brilliant well priced speakers. I definitely recommend them.
